Breakfast in the Classroom

Studies have shown that students who skip breakfast are at an academic disadvantage, and eating a healthy breakfast can help improve academic scores and lower discipline problems.  The need for the program arises because not all students get the energy and nutrients they need to get a healthy start to the day.

Time for the breakfast will be created by eliminating homeroom.  BHP tudents will report to first period at the 8 a.m. bell. Students who choose to participate in the program will be served breakfast during the first 10 to 15 minutes of class.

Students who have qualified for free or reduced meals will receive their breakfast at no charge. Breakfast will cost 80¢ for students who do not qualify. If you feel your child qualifies for free or reduced meals, but you have not completed the proper paperwork for this school year, please pick up a form in the main office or call the school for assistance.
